Hello everyone!

im beginner, its obvious.

today i have two very difficult problems :)

1 - when i open file (saved for example yesterday) my circles are not circles anymore.. they are "squared", hexagons and other stupid -gons.. what can i do about this? are there any special saving options?

2 - if i change line weight, i cannot see it physicaly on screen, neither in model nor layout, although if i click on this line i see the weight is changed. i havent tried to print it cause i dont have printer here, so i dont know what magic would appear on paper.. is there any chance to see it on screen?

im using autocad 2007

i´ll be forever thankful to everyone who can help me

1. Type VIEWRES at the command line and bump up the setting. Try 1000 to start with. Also, get used to using the REGEN and REGENALL commands.

2. Click the little LWT button along the bottom of your screen. It toggles lineweight display on and off.

wau, thanks for sooo quick reply, i like this forum :)

line weight solved, so eaasy, great!

problem is that im not using autocad in english, so most english commands simply dont work... and what is worse i dont know their equivalents in my language, only few of them.

but, regen worked, nice done :) this "viewres" command, unfortunatelly, doesnt work, is there any other way to set this option?

thanks a lot

Open your OPTIONS dialog, click on the "Display" tab and then under "Display Resolution" change the "Arc and Circle Smoothness" value. This does the same thing as setting Viewres.

You could also try typing _VIEWRES at the command line, including the underscore. Putting an underscore in front of the command ensures the English-language version of the command will always work. You should be able to do this with any command.

Sounds like you have some learning to do. What language pack are you using?
