Why don't you just copy the objects, select both stantion posts, and use the toe of the step as your base point.

It would probably take more time and to much effort to set up an array, besides this I don't think array can be used to go up at an inclined angle.

I tried but its not easier, to place on face. cross hair not select face easily..so I need to place a line on every step.

so its better we solve it by array or other useful command.

3D arrays are pretty simple.

Click on 3d Array

Select the object.

Select whether you want a rectangular Array or polar Array.

Rectangular array

Enter number of rows - This is the number of items along the "y" axis

Enter the number of columns - this is the number of items along the "x" axis

Enter the number of levels - this is the number of items along the "z" axis

Specify each distance.

Polar

Enter the number of items in array - how many items do you want

Specify the angle to fill - (+ 275 means anti clockwise 275deg) (-275 means clockwise)

Rotate arrayed object - lets the cpu know if the the objects are to be turned along path of array.

Specify the centre point.

specify your axis - for the objects to be rotated around.

Trust me, I design staircases for a living. Copy is the easier method.

you have to orientate the ucs icon to go with the angle of the stair, this will allow you to draw a handrail and extrude it along it's path.

please note that this is only a quick example. I'm at work and don't have the time for a full on tutorial. but it is best to explore ucs manipualtion. It can be a pain at 1st, but it's worth it

Try to draw a 3DPOLY.First point on the top center of your stair baluster then the second on the bottom center. And then use SWEEP for your hand rail.

You could open your Materials pallette, click on the material you want to apply whilst holding the control key and drag it to the face you want to Render.

Hopefully that helps you my friend.
