drazk911
Ok I'm lost. I have an assignment in autocad to put the same attribute tags on multiple items desk, chair, table, etc. do i have to rewrite these tags for each individual object before making the blocks? I thought there was a way to have it go on each block when you inserted it. I have a test tomorrow. Hope someone answers this. Just found this website. I am using AutoCAD 2010
dbroada
You can copy your group of ATTDEFs while in BEDIT. I would create my first block and "Copy with base point" the ATTDEFs. Define subsequent blocks and CTRL-V the copied ATTDEFs into them. Reposition the attributes as necessary. You could make a block of the attributes if you are going to do this a lot over a period of time but you will have to remember to explode them each time you put them in so its not really worth the effort. I thought there was a way to do it without BEdit. If I remember correctly, bedit doesn't allow you to pick which order you want the attributes. Thanks for your input though.
