therock005
Is it possible to create a hatch with a solid color fill but also to set color transparency?
Cad64
In 2011, yes, but not in previous versions. Try using a dot hatch pattern.
therock005
I havent tried version 11 yet. Is it certainly not possible in previous versions, even with additional third party addons, or lisp routines?

It is absolutely not possible in previous versions. As stated use the dot pattern for hatching and then screen the layer it is on. If you tighten up the scale for the hatching (along with the screened layer) it can appear to be a transprent solid hatch.

fahim108
Use this setting while printing and you can have transparent hatches in any cad version. But it's a bit tricky as every entity in your drawing shall disregard any draw-order.
