degoos
hi, I would like to use the quick select tool while I select my hatching boundaries, so I don't have to click on every object seperately, can anybody help me please? thx, degoos
ReMark
What features make your boundaries unique? Ex. - color or layer. Suggestion: Make sure your boundaries are on their own unique named layer and it should work. Edited August 10, 2010 by ReMark
degoos
but I can't get into the quickselect dialog box, when I do select objects in the hatch dialog box and I try to type qselect, it doesn't work, it says: "Select objects or [picK internal point/remove Boundaries]"
ReMark
Really? Then you must be doing something wrong. I drew four circles on a layer named HatchBoundary. I used Qselect and set Properties to Layer and set the Value to HatchBoundary. When I click on the OK button all the boundaries are selected. Next I start the Hatch command. I set my Pattern, Angle and Scale. Then I press the Add: Select Objects button. Finally, I click on the OK button. When I am returned to my drawing all the circles have been hatched. I did not pick them in any manner (singlely or as a windowed group). From my AutoCAD text window: Command: qselect 4 item(s) selected. Command: hatch 4 found

ReMark
I ran into the same problem when I first tried it myself. I thought it was a typing mistake and just kept at it. It only took me three tries! Glad to hear you got it to work.
