qball
dtmrnd and 2000pt.dwg both seem to work. I will assume the file I am having trouble with is the file and not the lisp. No big deal. We have another project that may come up where this will come in handy, but it is rare (3rd time in 6 years).
marmo
Ho qball, There is an application of AutoCAD called "Point Clouds" of software house Sycode. It 's a paid software, but once installed it allows you to make 10 free runs or for 10 days. I tried to test it on a tube with a pointed LaserScan. I modeled the pipe with only two "bas-relief" (in reality it would take many more) and although I have not had many opportunities to experiment, I think that is accurate, and has never generated errors. Nuttieke
Is it also possible to use these lisps on contour lines in stead of point measurements?
marmo
Hello, you're welcome Nuttieke:) I'm sorry, could you explain. .I do not understand what you mean. Regards
qball
Is it also possible to use these lisps on contour lines in stead of point measurements? The LV lisp should work if you explode your contour lines. Try it out.
Nuttieke
I tried it, but the contour lines are not accurate enough, I think.

oliver
got..loading...it says (i have 2579 points loaded) (points coordinates may be too large - move closer to 0, 0 and/or scale down) if i should move all the points or coord. are not in right position. any suggestion regarding this matter. thanks oliver
traffic_chimp
Managed to get it to work with 10,000+ points. Took a while though
marmo
Hi Oliver, generally when you use a software modeler is very important not to have too much difference between the scale of the model and measurement units sistem. It's also very important to not have the model away from the origin, to reduce the possibility of generating errors in the forms. "(points coordinates may be too large - move closer to 0, 0 and/or scale down) " This is a message that tells you the DTM lisp?
marmo
Hi Nuttieke, "I tried it, But The contour lines are not accurate enough, I think." It 's true, if you need precision the only sure method is the triangulation with the DTM. They are also precise the curves obtained with the lisp AC (autocurve). If you need a accurate solids you must obtain directly from 3DFACE of DTM. Mesh and the Loft, are only approximations ... Useful for presentations, because they have "clean" geometries of wire mesh and smooth Loft solid.

ctoshio
Hi, Is it possible to move block or text to surface created with these tools without civil 3d? Thanks
marko_ribar
If DTM fails, review this thread... Slow but if no points overlap - recommended to do OVERKILL before using code - result is guaranteed... Regards, M.R.
