James1
I have a drawing that is in a coordinate system and has been drawn in mm however I need to retain its relative coordinates but convert the drawing into m for the sake of a realtime navigator. Can anyone help?
edwinprakoso
create a new drawing with m unit, then insert your drawing there. You can use XREF or insert block. But you need to define the UNITS correctly for each drawing.
eldon
If you scale by 0.001 about the 0,0 point, then all coordinates stay the same, but with the decimal point shifted along
edwinprakoso
True But by inserting, it is very flexible for any kind of units. You can easily convert feet and inch too.
eldon
As I read the thread, the OP was interested in mm and m conversion, and my reply was aimed specifically at that. I sure he will be delighted to know that he can deal with inches as well
