ReMark
This is important. Did you load any service packs for AutoCAD 2002? OK...Win7 Ultimate (good choice). Is it the 32-bit or 64-bit version? When did the problem first occur?

ReMark
Stop what you are doing and go to the AutoDesk website. Find and download any service packs and hotfixes that were released for AutoCAD 2002. Create a Restore Point. Using Add/Remove feature in Windows remove the add-on survey tools. Create a second Restore Point. Install all service packs and hotfixes. Run AutoCAD a full day. Does the runtime problem reoccur? If not, create a third Restore Point then install the add-on survey tools. What happens now? By the way, you do know that running AutoCAD 2002 on a Win7 system is likely to be problematic right? AutoDesk does not recommend/support the installation of AC 2002 on a computer running Win7.
