kenravon
Dear members, My Dell workstation Precision M65 was stolen a couple of days ago. I am now in the market to buy a new computer. However, the problem I had with that machine was the weight and it was hard to carry it around. Since that experience, I decided to download some of the files to an external drive at my office and keep only the current projects on the laptop. I am looking at Apple Air that has a very nice industrial design and it is light. However, I wanted to know if there is anybody that has any experience running AutoCAD on Apple Air. I am not a heavy AutoCAD user and I can use my desktop for that but for traveling I am looking for something light and at a sometime something workable that can run AutoCAD if I want to make a few changes and do presentation. Any thought or information is greatly appreciated. Ken

ReMark
I'm doubtful you'll be able to do it. And if you do succeed I think it will run molasses in January. kenravon
Dear ReMaaark, Thanks for the info. I heard Dell cameup with a similar laptop, but I could not find it on their website. Any recommendation on the dell laptop?
ReMark
I have a Dell Latitude 630 but I run a 2D CAD program called DraftSight on it. Lenovo makes some good laptops you might check out what they offer. I would recommend Win7 Home Edition 64-bit and 4GB of RAM if you can get it. A dedicated graphics card usually beats out an onboard chip but if price is a problem you don't have much choice.
