blackeagle1245
I have been tring to create new routing prefences but I need to make changes at default ones. If I explode the original one then how can I save them again as fittings?. If i find them as 3d drawings, how can I turn them to fittings? I know how to create mvparts but not fittings. thanks
tzframpton
Fittings are parametric parts. That's a whole new world of AutoCAD MEP content customization and can be very complex. Depending on what you're wanting to do, you might only have to edit the existing catalog of parameters to get your desired results. Might I suggest this book as well: http://www.amazon.com/Mastering-AutoCAD-2010-Paul-Aubin/dp/1439057664 If you're really wanting to dive in deep with AutoCAD MEP, then that's the book that will get you where you want sooner than any other book available. How can I add them as fittings? I know how to create mvparts, or parametric parts but as I know we need to draw it by ourself. tzframpton
where is the information of the parts that says cast iron, pvc? Is there a way to change these properties? C:\ProgramData\Autodesk\MEP 2011\enu\MEPContent\USI\Pipe I HIGHLY recommend backing the *.apc files up before modifying any of these catalogs. Have fun.
