Browny_76
Hi all, I am relatively new to solidworks and i have drawn a hinge subassembly and brought it into an overall assembly. The problem is that in the subassembly the hinge pivots but in the overall assembly it is unable to pivot and says that it is fully defined and cannot be moved. Can someone help me out with this? shift1313
Whenever you have a sub-assembly inside a larger assembly it automatically is set to "Rigid". Right click on the sub-assembly in the feature manager, go to properties and check the box to make it "flexible". This will allow the sub-assembly to move as originally planned. akaron
I am having the same problem, but when I try to change the hinge from rigid to flexible, the whole "solve as" menu is greyed out. Any ideas why this might be happening?
