ctdlc888
TEXT command concatenated in excel runs in AutoCad 2005 but not anymore in Autocad 2006 and higher. As this-- DT 34324.83,33162.32 100 0 SITE1 (To draw SITE1 with height of 100 and rotation 0 to the said coordinates). Will appreciate your help. Thank you. fuccaro
Just guessing: check the textstyle you try to use. Does it use a fixed font size? When using texts in AutoCAD, the program needs the dimension of the text. If the dimension is already fixed by the textstyle, it doesn't prompt you for the text height. But if the font size is not fixed in the textsize, you are asked to enter it when creating the text. When using scripts, it is important (mandatory) to enter data as it is expected by the program. If something goes wrong, press F2 and check at what point things began to go wrong. You should see the prompts, the answers provided by the script and the error message returned. And: welcome in the forum!
ctdlc888
thanks but it does not prompt for text height but in the next prompt for rotation.I was plotting series of labels with given coordinates(position) aside from symbols in different excel file(formula). it goes well in Autocad2005. The series of labels i want to plot (paste in command prompt): dt 30113.54,30057.16 100 0 BLLM3 dt 34324.83,33162.32 100 0 BLLM4 dt 34337.52,33210.91 100 0 BLLM5 dt 37747.43,36086.41 100 0 BLLM6 dt 37963.19,36558.7 100 0 BLLM7 dt 33190.33,33301.11 100 0 BLLM8 dt 33181.1,33359.04 100 0 BLLM9 dt 31034.85,28803.2 100 0 BLLM10 dt 31064.09,28612.49 100 0 BLLM11 dt 35461.5,31960.73 100 0 BLLM12 dt 35432.89,32005.21 100 0 BLLM13 dt 28934.35,26344.33 100 0 BLLM14 dt 28882.58,26233.89 100 0 BLLM15 dt 26777.63,26331.49 100 0 BLLM16 dt 26772.28,26226.76 100 0 BLLM17 dt 24593.2,26515.28 100 0 BLLM18 dt 24598.99,26386.18 100 0 BLLM19 dt 22795.89,25153.21 100 0 BLLM20 dt 22582.19,25156.33 100 0 BLLM21 thank you. BIGAL
Do a manual test typing in the commands I agree with Fuccaro it will be your text style, you may want to add a first line to your script to set the correct Text style. It pretty easy to have one style without a height and another preset.
ctdlc888
Sirs i got it. I consulted ^Help^. The solution is to set DTEXTED to 1 which is new to 2006 and above where the value is defaulted to 2.
