ADAM'S_APPLE
Hi, 3 unanswered questions (what some may deem unproblematic) remain for me with regards to plotting: 1 Does anyone know the default object lineweight when plotting? (it seems to be 0.18/20, far heavier than what I assumed would be 0.00 when starting out) 2 What's the difference between plotting at 'Maximum' and 'Presentation' quality?? the output DPI seems to be the same. 3 Also when editing plot style tables (assigning thicknesses to various colours) is there any way of changing the default line thicknesses? By default the lightest lines are 0.05 and 0.00. (No 0.04,3,2 etc). And if you can't change it is there a reason for that? Thanks again. rkent
Default is .25, it can be set with LWDEFAULT Probably no difference when dealing with vectors. You will be hard pressed to see the difference between .05 and .02, so they skip so the lineweights can be detected when plotted.
ADAM'S_APPLE
Thanks for your response. Agree you would be hard pressed to tell the difference between .05 and .00 but why then do they have an option of selecting either 0.15 and 0.13? Surely the difference there is even more negligible on paper...? And besides do you know any way of changing the default line thicknesses? rkent
Yes I agree that the lineweights seems arbitrary. You can edit them in the .stb file, I assume that can be done in the .ctb as well. I haven't found a way to do it in one place.
DANIEL
Yes, it can be done in a ctb as well.
ADAM'S_APPLE
After further exploration found it! (under 'edit lineweights'). Not sure how I missed that. Thanks again!
