Lockyear
Hi, I'm pretty new to CAD so this might be a pretty simple question. If I was intending to draw a road in AutoCAD by drawing over the top of an imported image how would I scale the image up so the drawing is 1:1 in model space. The image also has a scale line. Cheers. SuperCAD
After you trace the image, start your scale command and then pick a base point and type R for reference. Click between two points that have a known distance (i.e. you know what the dimension SHOULD be) and then enter the value that you want it to be. Just to get the hang of it, draw a line that is 1" long. Start the scale command, and click one of the ends as your base point. Now type R, and select both end points of the line. For your new value, enter 4 and hit enter. Your 1" line should now measure 4".
