intern2011
Hi. I have the following problem. When I draw a line at my template it always has the line type scale 5 as default under properties. I know that I can chance this by hand or chance a basic line type scale with the command "lts". But all the lines in the drawings of our partner have the line type scale 1 under properties. So if I used "lts", there would either my lines or their lines be scaled wrong. Also I don't want to chance the default line type scale of each line by hand. Is there a possibility to set up something that each line I'm drawing, starts with a specific line type scale as default under poperties? Thank you very much!!! Best regards, intern2011 Edited December 9, 2011 by intern2011
christillis
Hi there, Firstly, I have to say that it's very difficult to understand what you want - until I read your last paragraph! What you're probably looking for is this area of the linetype manager, you just have to unhide it: If I've mis-understood, do let us know. ReMark
It sounds to me like you want to use multiple linetype scales and not a global linetype scale. Is that correct? Yes or No?
intern2011
First at all, thanks for your help. I didn't find the line type manger. Could you tell me where it is, so that I could try, if it's what I'm searching for. multiple linetype scale vs. global linetype scale: I don't want to use multiple linetype scales, but I use them automatically by using our parters blocks. The problem is, that all his lines have the value 1 in properties - line type scale. But when I draw a line it always has automatically the value 5, independent of what I entered with "lts" . So I want to set my default value to 1, too. So that my lines and my partners lines are scaled the same. Thanks, Regards, intern2011 I tried to use "LTS" with the value 1 before I start my drawing, but nether the less all my lines have the value 5 under properties - linetype scale. If I set the value 5 by hand for each line to 1, then the would look exactly like my partner's lines, but it's very annoying to do this for each single line. Thant' why I'm asking for a kind of default setting.
Mike_Taylor
I believe the alias command is LINETYPE. At least it is in 2006 haha. I hate old CAD versions
ReMark
Yes, type LINETYPE at the command line. Press Enter. When the Linetype Manager dialog window appears look to the right where the buttons are. Click on the one that says "Show Details". Very easy. christillis
Yeah, that'll definitely sort you out. If you can't type LINETYPE in the command line, it's under the Format pull down. May the force be with you
intern2011
Thank you very much. That's what I need. The field "current object scale" had the value 5 in my template. Now I set it to 1 and finally all my lines are scaled the same as my partner's ones. Thank you very much!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
