Dadgad
I understand that most folks hate Vista, but I am having a hard time understanding why this version will work on XP (an older OS) but not on Vista? I have Vista on one of my computers, and cannot upgrade it to Windows 7, as HP doesn't support it on this platform, and really don't feature going retro and changing the OS to XP. Seems rather arbitrary, although I can only imagine there must be a reasonably valid explanation.
stevsmith
It may have something to do with the fact Microsoft are trying to phase out Vista. They are no longer supporting Vista SP1. Maybe this is a sign it's on its way out. XP still has a strong following due to its networking. It has a good solid core foundation to run on where as vista, Doesn't.. Personally I don't hate Vista, I just hate waiting 5 minutes for something that should take 10 seconds. Or are those 2 statements self-contradictory? How come a company as big as Microsoft is so screwed up that after a long awaited and much touted revolutionary new 'game changing OS' release, a few years later they would just walk away, and choose to pretend that it never happened? Rhetorical question. Yeah I'm in agreement that may be a sign of intelligence, but what about corporate responsibility, to all of the poor fools who jumped on their magic bus?
