WERDNA
Hi All, Was wondering if any one could shed some light on why pasting details between drawings and blocks, the software or hardware, hangs for what seems to be an age, but is probably more like 10-15 seconds but over a day this is costly, any suggestions would be appreciated? RobDraw
There are many possible causes. The first one that comes to mind is that there could be proxy objects or improperly converted files involved here. I see you are on AC LT 2007. Do you use .dwg files from outside sources? Are they saved down for your use? Sometimes the people at the other end don't realize that when saving down from AC Arch or MEP, they need to export rather than a simple save as to an older version. WERDNA
Hi Rob, Thanks for the response. There are details from solid edge files being used within the drgs, they are created in house and converted to Acad LT 2007.
RobDraw
You might want to look at the conversion process. I don't know anything about solid edge so I can't offer anything in that regard.
SLW210
Can you post your computer specs? Can you post a slow pasting object? What are the objects called (right-click>Properties)? Do you have all of the updates, hot fixes, Object Enablers, etc.?
WERDNA
Spec attached, I am not sure about the updates etc but would say probably not. The problem has only recently begun, it is all objects, even as basic as copying a line there is a delay when pasting. Are the updates etc located on the Autodesk website?
