ReMark
Do you have all service packs installed? Are you using any custom lisp routines that you recently developed or downloaded?
MikeP
I have a number of lisp, but nothing new. as far as i know i have the latest service pack. this has been happening out of no where though.
SLW210
What are you doing when this happens? Is this with one drawing, a few drawings or all drawings?
MikeP
any drawing apparently. ill go to change views. I just went to zoom into a view port in paper space and then it crashed. this never has happened like this before
ReMark
Any drawing? Doesn't sound good. Might consider running the REPAIR option and see if that fixes it.
SLW210
Does this usually happen using zoom or pan commands? You may need to run a repair. Do you have hardware acceleration enabled? Latest graphics driver?
MikeP
hardware accel is on. I click check for updates, there was a new one, so i updated it via the 3dcongif window.
ReMark
Please don't keep us in suspense. And then what happened? Anything? Nothing?
MikeP
no far nothing. its a random crash/error. and not at all predictable
Murph_map
no far nothing. its a random crash/error. and not at all predictable I would start with cleaning up your temp file folder. From the start button > RUN type in %temp% then enter, now delete all files in that folder that windows lets you. Next I would see what other apps are running when you get the crashes, look in the events logs from the control panel> Admim Tools > Event Viewer. Also are you opening/using dwgs from a network drive?
MikeP
well I had 19Gigs in my temp folder, so im cleaning that up. I will keep an eye on the event log and post the latest reason why it crashed. Thanks

monkey7
WSCommCntr1.exe is the AutoCAD communication center. Disabling it might at least solve the direct problem: http://www.cadforum.cz/cadforum_en/running-process-wscommcntr1-exe-tip6914
