bbulka
Hi everyone, I'm new to SolidWorks and have basically taught myself everything thus far. I'm drawing a bioreactor for the lab I work in at school and I'm stuck on one part. Im sorry if this is a stupid question, but if you add a plane to a part, is there a way to extrude from that plane? The base of the bioreactor is a cylinder, and I need to put a hole in the side of the cylinder. I added a plane that is tangent to the cylinder and drew a circle with the dimensions I want, but when I hit extruded cut, I get an error message saying I need to specify the direction of extrusion, which I do not know how to do. Has anyone experienced this before?
shift1313
If you drew on that plane it should Extrude from it just fine. Make sure your "condition" is Blind and see if that works.
