Hardney
Hi, all my temporary files are redirected to another disc when saves files such as .ac$ and .sv$ are created in order to not full my C:/ disk and have memory issues. But I realized that when I make a qsave or when an automatic save is done, a savXXXX.tmp is created that is saved on this location C:/Users/User/AppData/Local/Temp. The file added is named as follows: AecXXXX.tmp. I made sure that in the options File tab all my file locations for temp files and saves were where I wanted them to be (on my D:/ disk). Then I saw the Open and Save tab I had Create backup copy with each save check, so I unchecked it but this has done nothing... Can you help me because now I really have a hard time working for all the .tmp files are using 0.4Gb on my C:/ disk each time a save file is done and I have to delete them everytime for my working file is big because it is filled with gradings. ReMark
And what is the capacity of your hard drive? How much free space do you currently have? How many drawings will you work on in any given day?
Hardney
ReMark: Disk C:/ 78.1 Gb Free Space: 23Gb but decreases very rapidly as a 100 of .tmp files are created everytime I open my drawing. Disk D:/219 Gb Free Space:186Gb: This is where I make my .ac$ and .sv$ get saved. On a normal day, I can work from 5 to 10 .dwg, including the xrefs and the presentation plans in which the xrefs are in, when working on a single project. Blackfish
I find deleting these files anyoing too; working in a network with synchonizing files on two servers these extra files make synchronization slower... But 100 no. of .tmp everytime you open a drawing it's extraordinary? Would it be possible from AutoCAD level delete these files with some macro or script (don't forget I'm LT user ) at the end of the day?
