louA
Sometimes when I am dimensioning an object, my autosnap will pick up the end of an adjacent dimension extension line instead of the end of the object. Is there a way to prevent that?
Murph_map
If you think about it anything you design (mech part, house plans, roads etc) do not have just a line ending some place, they all intersect another line or object. So set the osnaps to "int"ersection instead of endpoint. If you do need to dimension to an endpoint once in a great while it's easy to use the shift-rt click to pull up the osnaps menu to temporary set one. Dadgad
Welcome to the forum. Check to see if your running NODE OSNAP is on. The end points of dimension extension lines are NODES. louA
Yes I see that the dot representing the location of the dim line on the object is a Node, whereas the end of the extension line is an end point. Turning both of these off is a good idea.
