Arty
Hi, I'm wondering if there is a way to "copy" info(part of drawin) from one drawing to another and make the copy land on the exact same spot in the new drawing? /Arty
Dadgad
Easily done, PASTE TO ORIGINAL COORDINATES. The commandline version is PASTEORIG, or you can find it with the CLIPBOARD commands in your right click shortcut menu, or on the PASTE panel on the ribbon. CyberAngel
Another method is to xref the drawing into the correct location and use NCOPY. For some reason that command doesn't preserve blocks, that is, you can only copy basic objects. When you select, for instance, a line belonging to a block, you get the line by itself, not the whole block. If you have a lot of stuff to copy, consider binding the xref with the Insert option. You can edit the resulting block to remove what you don't want and then explode it. If you use Dadgad's method, and you're not sure about the scale or rotation, use the Paste as Block option. You can adjust the block as a whole and then explode it.
DashaB
I've always used COPYBASE and the coordinates 0,0,0. the fast way to do that is Ctrl+Shift+C
