stef_r
I have a question and am hoping someone can help me find the right steps for it. I'm new to AutoCAD and have made a 3D model of a specific mounting bracket. Now that I have the 3D model, I want to 'translate' it to a 2d layout so I can put some dimensions in it and bring the drawing to a local mechanical engineer. Here's the file of the drawing: SL135_Mounting_Bracket.dwg I thought it was pretty easy to do but don't know exactly how to get started... :-( Please help me?! rkent
One of many methods, Go to paperspace, one of the layout tabs, and start the viewbase command. See help for details.
ReMark
You have five available options. rkent gave you one of them (View Base). Note that this command places all 2D views in a layout and not in model space. The four other options are: 1. Flatshot 2. Sectionplane 3. SolProf 4. SolView/SolDraw combo
