JD Mather Posted July 23, 2013 Posted July 23, 2013 An involute is the curve generated by unwinding a string from the shape. If you had a later version of AutoCAD this would be easier using Parametric dimensions and constraints. It would take a lot of measuring and/or calculating in 2000. In a program like Autodesk Inventor you could enter an equation curve and the software will generate the curve for you. Quote
