jonseewhy
Is it possible to somehow combine an assembly done in metric units with one done in imperial units or is it a case of "the twain shall never meet"? Could be, but I'm not in front of the CAD just now so just a punt. The CAD database is 'unit-less' at some base level and the usual '.dwg' setup/config fixes some relative scale for displaying mm/inch/furlongs in the measurement system (Dims etc). Again I'm guessing but exporting say the imperial part of the assembly as a STEP/SAT/IGES file may allow you to re-set the units tag to metric in the file header (of the STEP/SAT/IGES) and then....maybe MDT will import the 'tweaked' file into the metric assembly dwg! You would need to re-scale the 'tweaked' bits accordingly. STEP would be my choice as you would at least retain the individual solids parts. paaray
The problem is there will be distortions in the object sizes.
