I'm trying to do a spreadsheet inside a drawing. Trying to use fields because I believe they behave better with feet and inches than excel (without jumping through hoops)

not a lot of tutorials out there on fields that I can find.

anybody good at this?

thanks,

First let me say I'm not too hot on mathematics using antiquated units, but you need to be looking at field formulas. Hopefully the attached image will show you better than my description, basically click in a table cell and (1) opt to insert a field from the table toolbar (2) choose the formula option (3) this will let you pick a cell from the table, or type in the formula yourself (D3*E3)/12.

The cells in a table are numbered in a similar fashion to excel so you shouldn't have any problems there, I hope this gets you started, good luck
