elli_par
I am having issues plotting a 3d model to scale using layout view. I started by setting up my ddunits to meters in the drawing. In page manager I set units to mm and 1:1: scale. After creating my viewport i zoom 10/30xp for a scale of 1cm = 30m. I have tried several scales and none are correctly plotted. I also created a veiwport of the same 3d model but in plan view and the drawing plots correctly to whatever scale I choose, using the same paper settings. I am fairly new to creating 3d models in Autocad is there something I am missing to plot a 3d drawing to scale? Thanx for any help in advance! ep
rkent
Is the view that doesn't plot correctly an ISO view? AutoCAD gives you a true isometric projection so you would have to adjust the view port scale to get a true size ISO. I don't have the scale factor with me now but it shouldn't matter. Place any dims in model space.

I am new to the 3d world so this is my first attempt at plotting 3d models. thanx so much for your help
rkent
Should be 1.2247448 x scale factor.
