Casusa
Hi there. wich way the best way to produce a tiles roof with multiple verges? Is doing first the multiple verges and then apply another thin layer above to give this last layer the tiles material? Or do the multiple verges and then apply it the tiles material? Thanks. Cad64
Can you provide a photo of the type of roof you are creating? I don't understand the "multiple verges" part.

ReMark
Are we talking Spanish tiles here by any chance?

Cad64
Yes, a roof made of tiles. Oh boy, Spanish tiles? The most difficult roof to do in 3D, and the worst when it comes to bogging down your system with all those individual tiles. I did a Spanish tile roof on my church render, but I was using Modo when I did that so I was able to just create a small section of the roof, group it and then use a replicator system to distribute the section across the roof tops. I don't know how you would do it in Autocad though. Good luck.
BIGAL
A couple of questions are you trying to produce a 3d rendered image ? If its basicly a 2d plan elevations etc have you drawn the roofs ? For any one interested if working in 2d plan elevation you can make 3d houses using thickness for walls and the roofs are created using pface as mulipoint planes these in turn can be hatched but your elevation you can add say a edge shape of the spanish tiles. It helps when you were part of a software development to do just this.
