Ainrahu
Hello, My friend was send my the IGES file but I cant open it. How to convert this DWG file.
SLW210
2000i had the converters available on the disk. Autodesk had Inventor Fusion available free for a short time in Autodesk Labs, it is called Fusion 360 now and is not free. There are free trials available of Fusion 360, Inventor and AutoCAD all of which should convert the files. What did your friend use to create the files? Can your friend send you a SAT file or DWG? ReMark
I think users could import IGES files starting with AutoCAD 2013 if I am not mistaken meaning anyone who has 2013 or higher could import your file and save it as a DWG.
Ainrahu
I have .3dm .stp and .igs files for same project. All other files and original project is deleted.
ReMark
Attach a copy of the .igs file to your next post. Maybe someone here will do you a kindness.
f700es
Might be worth a shot but FreeCAD (an open source parametric modeler) can open/export (step, iges, obj, stl, dxf, svg, stl, dae, ifc) and a few more. http://www.freecadweb.org/wiki/index.php?title=Screenshots
lrm
Did you try the IGESIMPORT command? It worked for me in my copy of AutoCAD 2014. ~lrm
f700es
OP's info says he is using r2000 so I can't remember if this is even an option for that release
