James7s
Hi all, I am now trying to create a template for building coordination. Let's say, In model space, I have 6 Layer, 2Layout Layers: 1. Wall Layout 2. Column Layout 3. Wall/Column description 4. Chair Layout 5. Table Layout 6. Furniture Description Layout: 1. Archi Layout 2. Furniture Layout In model Space, I could set up 2 kinds of layer state to clearly show the items I want to know. e.g. Archi Layer Status - 1. Wall Layout - Green 2. Column Layout - Red 3. Wall/Column description - Yellow 4. Chair Layout - Gray, Locked 5. Table Layout - Gray, Locked 6. Furniture Description - Gray, Locked, Frozen Furniture Layer Status - 1. Wall Layout - Gray, Locked 2. Column Layout - Gray, Locked 3. Wall/Column description - Gray, Locked, Frozen 4. Chair Layout - Red 5. Table Layout - Green 6. Furniture Description - Yellow But When I try to create 2 Layout, (one for showing the Archi, one for showing the furniture), although I could use VP Frozen to frozen the unwanted layer, I could not let each layout having difference color on the same layer. every time i change the color of the layer, it change globally that every layout changes. It there a setting I could use to do the task I needed?
MSasu
If you can upgrade your AutoCAD, please note that in newer releases there is the VP Color property (available only when call LAYER command from a layout); it allows you to override the color. This feature is available also for linetype, lineweight and transparency. Edited July 21, 2014 by MSasu Spelling
