Hiding objects in different sets with isolation

If I hide a number of objects via object isolation, then I need to temporarily hide another object, is it possible to bring that single object back to visibility without completely ending object isolation and thus making everything visible?

Be careful with this, because it could mess things up, but it might help

Delete the object - do whatever it is that you need to be doing - then type OOPS

The OOPS command will bring back the last item that was deleted, so it isn't really designed for what you are describing, and there is a chance that you could muck up your work (if you delete something else).

You might be better off creating a new layer, changing the object to be on that layer then freeze the layer temporarily
