imiiiat
Is there any option in CAD that inverts bearings the other way around? I have been plotting road plans and i always have this problem. the plans i plot are like mirrored from the original plans. (i even checked it couple of times.) what's supposed to be north are on south.
BIGAL
This happens if you get PXYZ v's PYXZ if you mirror twice you will invert the XY problem but co-ords are wrong did you create the plan from a list of pts ?
imiiiat
yes from a list of points. .how can i correct this?
eldon
If you have already plotted the points but using y and x instead of x and y, then draw a line from 0,0 at 45 degrees. Now mirror all your points about this line.
Dana W
Does changing the compass direction in the Format >> Units dialog before importing help this?
imiiiat
dear dana W it changes the direction but it doesn't plot the way i wanted it. thanks.
imiiiat
dear Eldon how can i plot it using x and y? just so i don't have to mirror my next drawing?
BIGAL
Like I have said above PXYZ v's PYXZ if you are importing points not into CIV3d you need to swap the columns bring it into excel swap them and resave as csv, CIV3d has an option pretty sure for PYXZ
eldon
dear Eldonhow can I plot it using x and y? just so I don't have to mirror my next drawing? BIGAL has already told you how you can do it. If your list of coordinates is figures separated by commas, then a spreadsheet like Excel will swop columns very quickly. If you do not have access to a spreadsheet, then you will have to enter the second column of numbers as the x, and the first column of numbers as the y. Concentrated brain power is needed to keep track of all those digits
