abishop
Does Inventor allow you to make an assy drawing showing the parts blown apart? Kind of like showing how the assy goes together and show ballons? Thanks Andy B
JD Mather
Yes. See the tutorial on presentation files (*.ipn) exploded assembly views.
abishop
can you point me a little closer? I am not familiar with the tutorial files and there seems to be a lot of them. Thanks
JD Mather
I recommend doing all of them http://help.autodesk.com/view/INVNTOR/2014/ENU/ especially if (snip).....
lrm
Expand the list of tutorials under Presentations (about half way down the list of tutorials). You can get a feel for the process in Tweak the Retaining Ring and then Place an Exploded View. When I make a exploded view with Inventor I rotate the view to a desired orientation I think will be the most descriptive and then remove some of the assembly constraints. I then just drag the parts around on the screen.
