ColinHolloway
Hi All, I am trying to use a point that I am passing to the .NET routine to place a pipe supports on a Pipe in Plane 3D. This issue is that when I pass the point to the command _PlantPipeSupportConvert, it returns "Point must be on a pipe or piping component". Using LISP the only way I have found to do this is to set the Aperture to 50 and turn OSnap Nearest on so it selects the point *ON* the pipe. This method is really clumsy and fails if the zoom isn't suitable for the snap to work correctly. Has anyone come across a solution to allow a point to be selected and it recognizes that it is *ON* the pipe? Thanks in Advance, Colin Holloway
BlackBox
Civil 3D Pipes have, what I believe to be, a similar issue in that the 'pipe' is a Line with Properties that manage the horizontal pipe width, and vertical pipe height, etc. which end up needing to be calculated if one is attempting to obtain a Point3d for either top or bottom of either inner or outer pipe diameter (i.e., where a pipe support might be located).
