McWynn
Hi, I am a new and just a beginner. I have some problem with scale. I did use unit (mm) in auto cad drawing, then export it to 3ds max with incoming unit (mm) and rescale to unit (feet) in 3ds max. But went wrong in there. I need some helps to explain for (1) Unit customization (2) dimensions (feet) entries were unable when creating columns, walls and doors. Pls refer to attachments. Thank you very much in advance to all and respect your times. McWynn ARMODEL3a.max ARMODEL3.dwg
Cad64
Why did you create the AutoCAD drawing in (mm) if you want to work in (feet) with Studio Max? In AutoCAD, scale the entire drawing by a factor of 25.4. Then change your drawing units to "Architectural" and change the insertion scale to "inches". Once you've done all that you can import the drawing to Studio Max and work in feet and inches.

SLW210
You can easily fix in AutoCAD using -DWGUNITS (include the Hyphen) , it will scale and set to Architectural all in one go.
Cad64
You can easily fix in AutoCAD using -DWGUNITS Good to know. I was not aware of that command, but then again, I've never had to convert a drawing from metric to imperial units. I wonder if McWynn has got his drawing resized and working in Max yet?
