Rlee71
Hello- I am trying to make a dynamic block of a tree with an m-leader label that moves around & is on or off & also an attribute below that so we can show a number. When I am in block editor & test it the block seems to work fine. As soon as I save it & get out back in to the actually drawing, my attribute goes away. Would anyone have any suggestions that could help me please? test.dwg
Rlee71
Another note to add to my question from above.... It works fine if I don't have a visibility state but as soon as I add the visibility state so I can turn the label & number off that is when the attribute disappears. Thanks for any & all help. steven-g
Your attributes properties are ticked as invisible, this means they won't show on screen, but they do show up in the properties palette, it's also advisable to have the lock position ticked as well when you create an attribute, you can alter these in the block editor in the properties palette. If you do make any changes you will then need to use the attsync command to update any existing blocks in model space, or just delete the old block and insert a new copy. Rlee71
Thank you steven-g. When I created the attribute I actually did tick the lock position & it was not ticked as invisible. I tried the attsync command & it updated & is now visible in my drawing. Thanks
steven-g
Update - I think you mean the attribute below the maple text. That should just need the attsync command (I'm guessing you added that attribute after the block was originally inserted), and watch how you name attribute tags "#" looks to be ok but you need to be wary of some special characters they can give strange effects
