MonkeyTurnip
sounds simple, and is but, and there always is one I don't have the ability to upload a dwg, I will do as soon as I can, so i'll try and explain as best I can if I have a dynamic block like -[] so a line coming out of a box/square. how can I rotate/move the line around the square keeping it perpendicular to the square, but always touching the square, and never going away or encroaching into it. I can not use a wipeout as the square is to encompass a detail, and attached to the line is a detail number.
ReMark
Why not use a box/square with eight lines controlled by a visibility parameter? Have a line at each corner and one at each midpoint. Shouldn't that cover about 99% of all uses?
steven-g
It's not something you'll get (easily) with a single grip, but with a rotate and a linear move, how about this as a starting point RoundSquare.dwg
MonkeyTurnip
It's not something you'll get (easily) with a single grip, but with a rotate and a linear move, how about this as a starting point Sorry for the late response, but that is actually perfect (sort of) I didn't think to limit the rotation angle by 90degrees at all. and that answered ally my problems (well with this block) I took the box out of the selection set and rotated just the line. so simple.
