markr1969
Hello, I am currently working on a Uni design project which has six individual floors and need to calculate a heating design using Hevacomp Netsys. In order to do this I need to change a .dwg file into a .dxf file and export these files to the software. I can create the DXF file but when I transfer the file to the design software the floors don't line up? Can you help me to line the floors up? I take it that it must be something I need to do with the dwf file? Regards Mark
JD Mather
H... I need to change a .dwg file into a .dxf file ... I take it that it must be something I need to do with the dwf file? What are you using the dwf file for? What does List return on the dwg file? Can you attach the dwg file here?
markr1969
My apologies, I said dwf file and I meant dwg! There are six dwg files each showing a different level of the building. I think I might have to set the same origin point for each drawing and that should line them when they are transferred as a dxf but not sure how to set the origin point? BIGAL
Check the following, UCS W Plan, check the co-ords of a common point, rather than set an origin its probably better to move the objects to the correct origin. But need to check for layers off and frozen, set a layer filter then turn all on an thawed and move rerun layer filter. I hate it when people I work with move a project it becomes time consuming to fix. One of our other units works in mm so they rescale with no reference point and then give to us to do our bit.
