Transferring a PDF without losing line weights

I need to transfer an Autocad file that I saved as a PDF into Microsoft Publisher. Every time I try to import it, I lose the line weights from the original PDF. I have tried copying and pasting, taking a snapshot, importing it as different files with no success. Every time it goes from the PDF into Publisher, I lose the line weights. Any ideas? Or can anyone recommend a different program than Publisher? I need to use my files along with some graphics, photos and this is most easily done in Publisher or another program like that. Help please!

No problem here with a vector PDF or a WMF, Lineweights remain, how does it work if you WMFOUT and insert the WMF into Publisher?

 

Maybe show some images of what is happening, PDFs and .dwg.
