briankstan
I have a strange thing that just started happening and I can't figure out why. When I have a line and I draw another line over it. Autocad has always selected the top line when I offset it. However now it is selecting the bottom line, not the last line drawn. It really driving me nuts. it has to be a system setting somewhere but I can't seem to find it. any help would be greatly appreciated. thanks. forgot to add that this is in Autocad 2010. Commandobill
Not sure why it would do that, but you can always shift+spacebar to get the line below the top line.

rkent
Setting SORTENTS to anything other than 0 will override any draworder settings you may have in the drawing.
briankstan
Setting SORTENTS to anything other than 0 will override any draworder settings you may have in the drawing. not sure how it got set differently, I know it's not a setting that I messed with just started one day out of the blue. I appreciate the help.
