Space Mouse
Hi, I have a small pipe network (7 pipes, no structures) in a simple drawing (There is one data referenced alignment.) Now that I have added the network, my drawing is veeeery slow to open. I need to add a lot more pipes! Sure I can break apart the drawing, but it is a 20 mile project. Am I missing something? Will I have to make 20 drawings? Thanks for your help!
ReMark
Why have you posed this question in the AutoCAD General question forum when your profile clearly states you are using Civil 3D 2008? In my opinion you really do want users of Civil 3D to offer their solutions not someone who only uses plain AutoCAD.
Space Mouse
Seemed like the right place. Thanks for the advice.
Organic
A 20 mile project in Civil 3D sounds like an absolute nightmare. I would be breaking it up into multiple segments/files.
Space Mouse
Yeah, it would be if I had a surface, corridor, etc., but it is actually a very simple drawing. It has an alignment and some line work. So the only thing in there to bog it down is the few pipes I have placed. Thanks.
