PDF To Illustrator to Autocad

Recommended Posts

Hey guys forgive me if this has been asked, I'm new here.

Long story short I have about 1000 very complex drawings in pdf format that I need to convert to Autocad. Using Adobe pro to cut them out then dropping in an Adobe illustrator file and exporting to dwg I have been able to copy out quite a bit of them but I have some that are exported from illustrator to dwg that come out as shapes. Rectangles and circles. Is there any way to convert some of the shapes to lines other than just drawing right over the top of the shapes?

I've attached some snippets with about 5% of the actual drawing as I can't share the whole thing but it is a very large part with hundreds of machined parts and components.
