ReMark
Please do not double postwimal as it only causes confusion. This is not an AutoCAD Customization related question. Pay attention to what AutoCAD is trying to tell you. It says you have some missing text fonts or symbol files (seven to be exact). What is the source of the drawing? What fonts are missing? You could also be missing a shape file or two as well.
rkmcswain
To expand on the post by @ReMark.... Type in FONTALT at the command line. If it is set to a valid font (for example, txt or simplex), then you won't get the dialog you posted for missing FONTS. In this case, that dialog will only appear for missing SHAPE files (probably embedded in linetype definitions). If FONTALT is set to nothing ("") - then if you click "Specify a replacement for each SHX", you will get this dialog for each missing FONT: ...and you will get a regular file dialog for any missing SHAPE files. Although FONT and SHAPE files are both called "shape files" in the original dialog, and they share the .shx file extension, they are not interchangeable.
