andyr74
I need to insert the same xref (not my own drawing) 2 times but with different changes to the layercolors and on-off layers. I prefer to do this allready in modelspace due to the visibility of the xref and my own drawing. Is this possible or should I make a copy of the xref and insert the copy as the second xref. (I have 5 xrefs I need to insert 2 times)
RobDraw
Insert one and rename it in the Reference Manager. You will then be able to insert a second one with unique layer names.
halam
That's correct. What you get after referencing it several times is this listing in layermanager |ref.filename1|layernnames .. .. |ref.filename2|layernnames .. .. The beauty of this is that you can have ONE model displayed and clipped in different ways on your drawing. I use this for making drawings of phasing.
