Commandobill
I wrote a program a while back which included getting the effective name of a block for a friend. Since then his company upgraded to 2017, and on dynamic blocks only it gets the name instead (ie "*U108"). I don't have 2017 at work, can anyone confirm this? ReMark
I believe that is correct. If I recall correctly there was a recent thread about the subject of dynamic / anonymous blocks and lisp routines. Why yes there was and here is a link to it (for what it's worth)... http://www.cadtutor.net/forum/showthread.php?96415-Why-I-can-t-select-the-Anonymous-block-when-I-use-this-code.&highlight=anonymous
Tharwat
I will check that out tonight when I go back home after work if no one confirmed this issue.
Lee Mac
If the ActiveX effectivename property is confirmed to be inaccurate for 2017, perhaps the Vanilla method here presents a viable alternative.
Tharwat
It works here with AutoCAD 2017 normally.
