broncos15 Posted August 12, 2016 Share Posted August 12, 2016 The Layertranslate command is extremely useful; however, I have noticed one glitch, it doesn't bring over the layer descriptions. Is there a quick way via LISP to accomplish the second task of reconciling the layer description? My thought is that I would save some .txt file that has all the layer information, including the layer description, then the LISP routine would iterate over all the layers in the drawing, see if they have matching names to the layers in the .txt file, and if so, change the description of the layer to match the description in the .txt file.
