Bill W
I’m having problems making dashed or centerlines appear correctly. If I draw a centerline in model space, then switch to paper space and change scale, the centerline spacing scale does not change same as the objects. That is, in model space it looks right, but in a paper space viewport, at a different scale, the centerline (or dashed line) is way out of proportion, or becomes continuous. If I draw a circle with a centerline, shouldn’t the line and circle change uniformly in paper space? What a I doing wrong? Thanks, Bill ACad lt 2011
ReMark
Try the following settings as suggested by rkent. MSLTSCALE = 1 LTSCALE = 0.5 PSLTSCALE =
tombu
With PSLTSCALE = 1 linetypes display the same in Model Space as they do in Paper Space no matter what the scale which should solve your issue. I've always used the default LTSCALE = 1 so they display as AutoCAD intended. The advantage of having PSLTSCALE = 1 is that if the scale of the Model tab matches the scale of your Paper Space viewport the linetypes will display the same in each. These system variables exist though so we can set them to whatever works for what we're doing.
Bill W
Thank you Tombu and Remark. I had a lot to learn about this deceptively simple subject.
