reyems Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 We just upgraded from 2009 (LT) to 2010(LT). When I open my drawings I get a warning with the title "Previous Version AEC Objects Detected. Saving the drawing will update any AEC objects it it to the current version, which will be incompatible with earlier versions" We don't actually create the drawings here, but we do some manipulation to them and we always save to 2004 format so that all of our other subcontractors will be able to read them. I don't recall this happening when we installed 2009. Do I need to worry about saving these drawings using the 2004 format? Will everthing still be there when others open the drawing? Thanks for any information you can provide. Quote
Dipali Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 I Installed Autocad 2009 few days back & had the exact same message & was wooried but when I asked me client who is using 2006, had no problem with my files. So I guess, you don't need to worry about it. Quote
NH3man! Posted April 15, 2009 Posted April 15, 2009 2010 has a new dwg format. You will have to save as a lower version if you want to open the file in a lower version. Quote
