OMEGA-ThundeR Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Hi, I want to put some area measurements in my drawing in text, i want to do this with fields with the ATT text. The problem is that i want the area of one layer (in total) and not just 1 'square'. Is there an way to make an ATT text (or something else) that shows the total area of a certain layer (lets say i have 2 squares of 1m x 1m, the output must be 2 (m2). Hope i made myself clear enough. ReMark Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Shouldn't that be the area of all objects on a particular layer? Quote
OMEGA-ThundeR Posted September 10, 2009 Author Posted September 10, 2009 Yes Sir, But i want it to be dynamic, so not just a piece of text what i have to update myself. Every time i add an new closed polyline i want it to add up, if its possible. I know that would be error sensitive, but i know what i'm doing . Quote
ReMark Posted September 10, 2009 Posted September 10, 2009 Haven't found a LISP routine quite like that yet but I did come across one by Jimmy Bergmark (JTB World blog) called AREAM.LSP that calculates the total area of all selected objects. I suppose it could be tweaked to do what you want. Quote
OMEGA-ThundeR Posted September 10, 2009 Author Posted September 10, 2009 i allready have an lisp that can do that, but that's manual labor and i am looking for an dynamic solution... Perhaps someone else knows how to do it. Quote
