Hi friends,

I wanna to ask, how can I put long light in the 3D model, for constant light in render in autocad like this picture

I put some point lights and they give me point views :) like this (the second one - with red lines)

I guess somewhat with web lights and .ies files???

I guess IES is the only closest to that one.

I found a free IES creator here. And try if I can create a long light like what you want.

Close enough I guess. I haven't try to actually render it though.

Thanks for the great little program, edwinprakoso, I'm searching for that program so long ...

I made one .ies file with it, and understand ... the web light is still point, no matter what light it drops ... I think that had to made something with material with optical rope haracteristics, selfilumined it ... and drop some light at it's end or start ...

may be in 3ds ?

:) 10 points!!! Can you tell me (us) how it's work if it is no secret

Is there something with the pipe with the luminance switch at about 10000 cd/sqm

I'd understand something, it works but not so good like yours, the top ceiling recieve the light of that pipe with material for ceiling with about 1 ..2 points for reflection but the light is not disperse - only saw the light pipe like in the mirror. I'd tried to put bump with noise, it works too .. but it's so rough ...

You got it! I just swept a circle along a polyline and gave it a material with some luminance. I think the reason why your light was so spotty is because you either didn't have your final gather turned on, or your number of rays were too low. I had about 1000 rays for this one. Hope this helps!

Tnx a lot Red333. It seems to have a little hole for my knowing about final gather . It works fine ...
